As we all aware, Kabuto had joined force with Uchiha Madara after their 'negotiation'. Kabuto wanted an uchiha body (Uchiha Sasuke) for his experiment in trade he'll join force with Madara. Without a doubt, Kabuto had become more powerful than we had imagined. Using Orochimaru's jutsu "Summoning: Impure World Resurrection", he manage to summon corpse of Uchiha Itachi, Nagato, Kakuzu, Deidara and Sasori. At first, Madara ask him what will happen if he refuse to join force, Kabuto had again summoned another corpse with unknown identity that disturbed Madara. Madara was really shocked with the appearance of the unidentified corpse. The question is WHO? Who was Madara afraid of fighting? Here i concluded a few theories:
Founder of Leaf Village (Hashirama)
1) Hashirama Senju (First Hokage)
Reasons: The founder of Leaf Village. Madara and Hashirama had fought long time ago, and we all know that Madara had lost in this fight and left Leaf Village. He was said to possesed several tailed-beasts, in order to create balance in the country, he presented all the tailed-beast to several country.

Konoha's Yellow Flash (Yondaime)
2) Minato Namikaze (Fourth Hokage)
Reasons: As we all know, he is Naruto's father and he was a very talented and genius. He is so genius that he graduated from the Ninja Academy at ten. He was also said as rare genius that only appeared once a generation. He was also the creator of Rasengan.

Uchiha Madara
3) Madara's own body (Uchiha Madara)
Reasons: There are theories that Madara does not have its own body as he had lived for more than 400 years. Madara, as we all know, will be equal to fght with Madara. Maybe that's why Madara said that it will only weaken him, fighting himself. He was the first Uchiha to posses. Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. But most of Madara's jutsu are still unknown, we can say that he is the most gifted ninja ever existed as well as his not-dying-will.
Famous technique: Teleportation
Sage of Six Path
4) Rikudo Sennin (Sage of Six Path)
Reasons: It is said he was the first to understand the nature of chakra itself. He also defeated Juubi (Ten-tailed Beast: The most powerful tailed-beast). He was also said to be the first to mastered Rinnegan, allowing him to manipulate all six nature's chakra. He's also the first Jinchuriki(tailed-beast sealed within them) in the ninja's worls history. He created Chibaku Tensei so powerful that Nagato said that his chibaku tensei was pale.
That's all i can say. i leave it for you to think who was the man(woman?) Madara feared.
